Ayaka Today, my journey toward IELTS 6.0 has begun!!
Since I need to build up my basic vocabulary first, I bought this book and decided to start with the first section: 1,000 basic words.
There were many words I already knew in this section, but I realized that I didn’t fully understand how to use them correctly. I ended up spending hours looking into the differences between similar words, and in the end, I only made it through about a third of what I had originally planned.
To be honest, I could study at a faster pace if I really wanted to. But my goal is to one day work in an international environment, and for that, I believe it’s more important to learn each word thoroughly, even if it takes more time.
At this pace, I might not reach a 6.0 score within a year, but I’ll keep going and won’t give up.
